This race course offers 13.1 miles of winding moderately difficult trails in and around the Sweetwater Creek State Park, following the lovely rapids of Sweetwater Creek, and venturing past Civil War-era textile mill ruins. These trails vary from sandy and flat to hilly to technical. The conditions for the race can be unpredictable, but who doesn't love an adventure?

The course involves over 31 miles of adventure, including winding moderately difficult trails in and around the Sweetwater Creek State Park, a water crossing through the rapids of the Sweetwater Creek, and venturing past Civil War-era textile mill ruins. This race is in honor of Officer Blake Gammill, Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy who was killed in the line of duty February 24, 2005. All proceeds benefit the DCSO SERT Team. The race course winds through the trails of Boundary Waters. It's a fantastic race to show support and grattitude for our local boys in blue.
Offering a variety of distances, from a tot trot for the little guys, to 1 mile for school age children, and a 5K through the streets of downtown Douglasville, this race has something for everyone...and it's in the dark! This is one of the largest after-dark runs in the Southeast, with approximately 2,000 participants. The race features a chip-timed USATF certified 5K course and is part of the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series.
