Join us for a fantastic trail half marathon at Sweetwater Creek State Park.
Course Description
This race course offers 13.1 miles of winding moderately difficult trails in and around the Sweetwater Creek State Park, following the lovely rapids of Sweetwater Creek, and venturing past Civil War-ear textile mill ruins. These trails very from sandy and flat to hilly to technical. You will pass over a couple of small creeks throughout the run. The conditions for the race can be unpredictable; one year we ran in six inches of snow, while during another we ran through the set of a major motion picture filming at the park (Killing Season with Robert De Niro and John Travolta).
There will be a 3.5 hour time limit for this race. Formal course support will end at 11:30 a.m.
