COURSE DESCRIPTION

Sweetwater Creek State Park offers winding, moderately difficult trails with creek crossings in and around the park, following the lovely rapids of Sweetwater Creek, and venturing past CivilWar-era textile mill ruins. The course terrain varies greatly from flat sandy surfaces to comfortable trail to technical trail, to monster hills to water crossings.  No wheels of any kind or pets are allowed on the course.  The course will be marked with orange flagging and bright yellow signs. While we work diligently to mark the course well, paricipants are encouraged to be familiar with the course map.  Course monitors are stationed at aid stations checking race numbers to keep track of runners on the course.  If you need to drop, please notify someone at an aid station and/or check in with someone at the Group Shelter near the finish area.
